LATEST NEWS - JULY 2002

THQ bringing Sega's big names to the GBA, new media revealed!

We all know THQ are working exclusively with Sega to release many of Sega's biggest franchises on Nintendo's handheld. Well, THQ's recent website update brings to light several new box-arts as well as some brand-new never seen before screenshots! Most notable of which is the anime styled box-art and logo of the much anticipated Phantasy Star Collection for GBA, a compilation of the first 3 incredible Sega RPGs fully intact on one cartridge...

And if that isn't enough to get you going, check out these tiny yet awesome screens from the upcoming Revenge of Shinobi, which looks to be a ressurection of the hit Sega franchise. Boasting over 20 levels with ability power-ups and bonuses for accomplishing specific tasks as you progress, this Ninja slash-em-up platformer will carry the essence of the original 2D titles...

Also getting the Advanced treatment is Sega's
almost forgotten Altered Beast. In Guardian of the Realms you battle your way through 16 worlds, each inspired by Greek mythology. You can change into 13 unique beast transformations which each garner special magic and abilities. Worthy of mention is the fact that the game will have a 2-player Story Mode and 4 player Battle Arenas!

We've all heard about Crazy Taxi getting ported across, and although no screens were revealed, here's a glimpse of what's to come...

Incredibly the below screens are not of the Gamecube version but actually of the Gameboy Advance Super Monkey Ball due out later this year...

Sega's most acclaimed sports title, Virtua Tennis is also being ported to the GBA and will no doubt carry with it all the action and realism of its Dreamcast / arcade counterparts.

It seems that Sega and THQ's combined support of the Gameboy Advance is a forced to be reckoned with. Bring it on!
